Ms. Robertson's
First Grade
Rules
1. Be A Good Listener
2. Be Kind
3. Be A Hard Worker
4. Be Safe
5. Be Responsible
I use a lot of positive reinforcement in my behavior management plan. I award good behavior points on an app called Class Dojo. (It is like having a digital good behavior punch card.) They earn good behavior points and can turn them in for rewards like stickers, small toys, or reward passes.
I also award Brag Tags for individual successes. They collect these plastic tags (similar to dog tags) on a key ring and at the end of the year they can place them on their backpacks to keep forever!
Unfortunately, there will be times when students might need a redirection or reminder to follow a rule. If they do not redirect after being told and I have to talk with them again I would take away a point.
If there is a serious infraction or a behavior the needs discussed at home I will send a note home the day of the infraction.
